We’re always proud of our achievements in making local Theatre ‘come to life’, but one side of Mystic not often discussed is make-up.
Lead by Cathy Heenan, there are always a veritable army of volunteers who spend hours backstage applying & removing make-up, masks & facial ‘decorations’.
For this years BLOC production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast an integral part is that of the Beast – transforming the lead, Alex Gay, into a fearsome creature who eventually wins the heart of Belle, Brittany Harbour.
Cathy has been working on the transformative mask for weeks now & has had an appreciative audience – seeing just how these theatrical ‘props’ are made from scratch.
